As Richard Notkin explains, “I intend to choose artists who interpret the theme in a wide variety of ways, from purely abstract works to highly narrative pieces. It’s about the liquid of life and the liquid of death, about empire and about hell. The parameters are wide open.”

A small scall ceramic vessel by Susan Boase entitled “Little Eden #1” was included in “The 2006 International Orton Cone Box Show”, juried by Steven Hill, Don Reitz and Inge Balch. The show opened at Georgie’s Ceramics in conjunction with the 2006 NCECA national conference held in Portland, OR and will travel to various sites over 18 months.
